Luna
Luna is Moonlit's legal research agent. Ask a question at app.moonlit.ai; Luna searches Moonlit, reads the documents and answers with citations that open at the source.
How Luna works
Luna runs on the Moonlit MCP server from inside Moonlit's infrastructure, with the same nine tools your own AI app would get. The model decides which sources it needs, searches, reads them, and searches again until the answer is complete.
When a question calls for hundreds of documents, Luna creates a workspace, analyses the set and continues.
Set the scope
Two selectors sit under the question box. Set them before you ask.
- Jurisdictions cover whole legal orders. Select all, Select EU, or search for one.
- Portals pick specific sources, such as a regulator or a court. Each portal shows its jurisdiction. Select all, or search for one.
Ask
Ask in the language you want the answer in. Luna queries each source in its own language and answers in yours. Keep one topic per chat and open a new chat for the next.
Citations
Every claim cites the document it rests on. The link opens the official publication, and the document identifier opens on the platform:

Context window
Luna says in the chat when the context window is nearly full. Once it is full, follow-up questions are answered without the earlier conversation. Start a new chat.
Chat history
- Free accounts: on by default.
- Platform Premium (self-serve): on by default.
- Platform Enterprise: off by default. The organization opts in.
Chats are searchable from the Luna sidebar.
Plans and limits
Free accounts get five conversations a week. Platform Premium and Platform Enterprise include Luna without limits. Workspaces and monitors remain available as advanced features.
